Dual-SIM HTC Desire 626 Launched In India
Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has brought their dual SIM Desire 626 phone to the Indian market, according to a report in Tech Times. The phone was released in India on February 5 and it will be selling for Rs. 14,990 or equivalent to $221. A single SIM version of the phone was previously released in the Chinese market almost a year ago.
The phone has a 5-inch display with an HD resolution of 1,080 x 720 pixels, according to the report. One of its best features is its 4G capability, which is expected to entice Indian consumers to purchase the phone, along with its sleek profile and affordability. The device only weighs in at only 138 grams and has a thickness of only 8.19 mm.
HTC described it in its promotional material as a device that will get one "ready for life on the edge." It promises the user that its 4G LTE at breathtaking speeds will help users "make the most of your time enjoying what you love."

The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor running at 1.7 GHz and paired with 2 GB of RAM. This is a different processor from the single-SIM variant, which only had the Snapdragon 410 SoC paired with 1 GB of RAM.
Internal storage is at 16 GB, with support for expandable memory for up to 32 GB through a microSD card. Its camera set-up is not bad for a budget phone – its main camera is a 13-megapixel shooter with LED flash while its front camera is a 5-megapixel one. Both cameras have BSI sensors.
A 2,000 mAh battery powers the device and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It will come pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The device will be sold through major retailers in India in the coming week following the announcement. Color variants on offer are White Birch and Blue Lagoon.
