'Elementary' Season 4 Spoilers: Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu Join Rob Doherty To Talk About New Season

The cast members of "Elementary" joined executive producer Rob Doherty at the show's panel in the recently-held New York Comic Con on Friday to dish out several key points on what to expect when the TV series returns to the small screen for its fourth season.

Citing the details from Design & Trend, the panel started off reiterating the fact that Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock Holmes won't be too happy to find out that his absentee father, Morland (John Noble), is coming over to the Brownstone. The old man did so after he heard of his son's drug relapse in the previous season.

Miller went on to tease that his character would be further frustrated to see Morland acting like nothing has happened in the past.

"Sherlock is expecting more reaction to his disdain for his father ... but it doesn't go anywhere for him," he said (via D&T).

Speaking of relapses, Miller said that his drug problems might happen again. For the actor, this issue "is something that can be handled, but the problem itself isn't ever going to go away."

Chiming in is Doherty who, just like the fans of the show, is also quite expectant for Natalie Dormer's reprisal of her role as Moriarty. The EP revealed that just like the villain, the "Game of Thrones" star is quite preoccupied as of the moment with the HBO TV series and an upcoming movie she's making. Doherty however said that they have already talked with the 33-year-old "a few weeks ago" to discuss some scenarios where Moriarty could make her return.

Still on the matter of casting, Dohery said that it is also the plan of the show to have the father and sons reunited.

"I would love to see the three Holmes men together," he said (via D&T). With this, the show might need to recast Rhys Ifans, who plays the sleuth's elder brother, Mycroft.

Another thing to look forward to this season is an episode that is helmed by Lucy Liu, who also plays Joan Watson in the series. This will be the third time that Liu has been in the director's chair.

"Elementary" Season 4 premieres this Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
