Eminem to Collaborate With Dr. Dre for New Album; Set for August?

The new album of "Rap God" rapper Eminem might be out soon. The renowned rapper is reportedly working in collaboration with Dr. Dre for his new record album, which is allegedly scheduled to release in August.

Eminem released "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" four years ago, and since then, fans of the 44-year-old rapper who have been waiting for his new release have barely heard from the artist. In February, however, it was reported that Eminem was actually working on a new album which he will drop sometime this year.

Status Quo revealed in a recent interview that Eminem has been in touch with the people of Shady Records despite being out of the limelight for the last couple of years. During the interview, Status Quo said that at that time, the album was already in the works.

Status Quo shared during the interview why he and Eminem had to part ways and hinted at Eminem's possible collaboration with Dr. Dre. The last time the two artists performed in public was in 2015 when Eminem rapped "Medicine Man" during the unveiling of Dr. Dre's new album.

"So we gon' work that out. When he comes out here [to LA], I'm pulling up [and] I'm going over there with him and Dre... and we gon' figure that out," he said.

Although Eminem has not yet confirmed anything about his album, there are speculations that his album will be out in the next few months. Billboard previously reported that in August, the rapper will headline the Glasgow Summer Sessions, which he also headlined in 2013, at Bellahouston Park. This upcoming project has led to speculations that his new album will finally be released in the same month.

Eminem has yet to confirm the release date for his new album so fans should wait for further updates.
