'Empire' Season 1 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: What Should Fans Expect in 'False Imposition'?

One of the biggest shows to come out earlier this year, FOX's highly successful musical drama TV series "Empire" continues this week with its upcoming episode titled "False Imposition." From the hints provided by the newly released synopsis, Lucius Lyons (Terrence Howard) will do whatever it takes to advance his company.

As stated in the synopsis provided by TVGuide.com, Lucious will be facing a lot of issues as he tries to balance his family life against his work while nurturing the growth of his company in the very competitive hip hop industry. Lyons will also have to deal with the authorities concerning the death of his friend.

According to the summary, the Empire Entertainment CEO will try to get his hands on a "super-hot, chart-topping artist" from the rival Safe House Records. In doing so, he may be able to raise Empire's stock value.

Meanwhile, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will also reach out to her estranged son, Hakeem (Bryshere Gray), who was revealed to have some serious "mother issues." Other than that, Jamal (Jussie Smollett), who had recently moved out from his father's shadow, will be having a hard time composing original music for the company.

Spoiler reports also indicated that Lucius will be questioned by the police about his whereabouts the night of Bunkie's (Antoine McKay) murder.

A recently-released promo video for "False Imposition" also reveals some intriguing aspect of the episode. From the clip, it appears like there might be even more pressing threats that Lucious has to face and one of those dangerous people might come from the inside.

"Empire" airs every Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on FOX.
