Despite only in the second game week of the English Premier League season, contenders clash at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Chelsea. The match is on Aug. 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. ET.

As defending champions, all eyes are set on the Blues at the moment.

In their first match of the new season, they looked set on beating Swansea City at home and start their title defence in style. However, their carelessness and unfortunate events prohibited them from getting the home win and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Now, they are looking to notch their first win of the season and it may come against Manchester City.

City have retooled their line-up and added a star in former Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling. He brings speed and depth to their line-up and many now consider the past champions to be back on their prime.

It was certainly on full display against West Bromwich Albion as Yaya Toure blasted them with a brace as Manchester took a comfortable 3-0 win to shoot them atop the early Premier League table. As they host the defending champions, another win here will definitely help them establish themselves as one of the favourites in the tournament.

As two of the elite teams in the league, their matches have often been close and in their last four meetings, they have one win each, with their last two ending in 1-1 draws both at Stamford Bridge and the Etihad.

Expect another tight match but one that will not be short of drama and excitement not only on the pitch but also on the sidelines as Manuel Pellegrino and Jose Mourinho are two of the most popular football managers today.

For Chelsea, a good outing from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard should help them get their win, while City are relying on Sergio Aguero and Toure for their output.
