Every time you get a "like" on Facebook, imagine getting a real, warm huge. One innovator has produced a vest that gives you that very experience.

Like-A-Hug is the name of the vest, developed by Melissa Chow in collaboration with Andy Payne and Phil Seaton. Despite the physical distance between you and your Facebook friends, this vest will let you feel closer to them, the innovator says.

How does it work?

When someone 'likes' your photo, video or status update, the vest will inflate as if you're receiving a warm squeeze.

On top of that, hugs can be sent back to the original sender (who would also have to be wearing the vest) by squeezing the vest and deflating it.

Facebook recently crossed the 1 billion active users mark.
