'Fairy Tail' Chapter 529: New Ally Appears in Battle Against Acnologia

The Japanese manga series "Fairy Tail" took a break from the Zeref vs. Natsu battle and turned the fans' attention back to the battlefield with Acnologia, Wendy and Erza. And just when Wendy was about to put her own life on the line in order to do her duty as a dragon slayer, salvation came in the form of Jellal.

But even Jellal's powers were no match for Acnologia, who, upon transforming into the Evil Dragon, had also rendered himself invincible to all forms of magic. Acnologia does not wield any element-based magic and even claimed to be the Dragon of Demise who would only devour any form of magic cast his way.

In a seemingly hopeless scenario, Wendy came to the quick decision of taking on her duty as dragon slayer, only for her self-sacrifice to be cut short by the arrival of Ichiya of the Blue Pegasus Guild and a mysterious woman on board the Christina.

Fans of the manga are hoping that chapter 529 titled "Teacher" will pick up where the previous chapter left off and answer the two major questions left hanging in the air.

It seems that Ichiya's plan to lure Acnologia away from Magnolia is more than just a simple distraction. He hopes to take the clueless Acnologia to a certain place that could significantly raise their chances of defeating the destructive dragon. And it seems that the key to this potential success lies with the mysterious woman that appeared in the final panel of the previous chapter.

Fans believe that this woman could be either one of three possible characters: Anna and Lucy Heartfilia or a younger version of the queen of all dragons herself, Irene.

Another possible contender is the Mermaid Heel's Guild Master, who has not been introduced previously.

Who could this woman be and what plan do they have in defeating Acnologia once and for all?

A new chapter of "Fairy Tail" comes out on the next issue of the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine.
