'Fallout 4' Release Date News: Game to Be Announced at PAX South?

"Fallout 4" has not been announced yet, but it remains as one of the most anticipated games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Speculation about the game began almost as soon as "Fallout 3" was released six years ago.

"This is not something we're going to do once and then go away and never do it again," Bethesda's vice president of PR Pete Hines told TVG in 2008.

"When that will be or how long that will be God only knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with 'The Elder Scrolls.'"

Now, a fresh crop of rumors about the game's release date started sparking right after several fans who visited the CES 2015 event points to a 2016 release date for "Fallout 4."

Apart from that, FuseJoplin reports that Bethesda is working on "The Elder Scrolls" 6 and has hired people to work on the game as well as on "Fallout 4."

The gaming company has not explicitly revealed this because it might create more anticipation in the gaming industry, however, Bethesda reportedly had casting calls made for lead actors and an AAA title with an RPG background.

Gameranx reports that "Fallout 4" could be announced at PAX South. The website claims that there was a rumor going around about the game being released at PAX East, which some say is a better place to make the announcement, but this is reportedly due to some leaks that have now been confirmed to be fake.

Bethesda has not confirmed any of the reports as of the moment.
