'Fear The Walking Dead' Season Premiere Aug. 23, Season 2 Coming in 2016
"The Walking Dead" fans will no longer need to wait for October for some zombie apocalypse adventure as the hit series' prequel "Fear the Walking Dead" is all set to premiere on AMC in August, according to reports. The channel has even released already a new teaser making the fans even more excited to for the series' debut.
Through this prequel, trivial questions of what took place to the world during Rick's coma will finally be revealed. Producers of the AMC original series said that the whole undead apocalypse will start five to six weeks prior to Rick Grimes' coma in "The Walking Dead". However, FTWD will not have its setting in Atlanta.
"By the end of season 1, we definitely know the world has changed, but we're not at the same place where Rick woke up," executive producer David Erickson told EW during the Television Critics Association's press tour.

The story will instead take place in Los Angeles where the zombie virus hit the city, turning each living human into an undead walker. The whole apocalypse will be running along the story of the extremely dysfunctional family of Travis and his fiancée Madison.
While fans are waiting for the first season to kick-off, AMC has also confirmed a 15-episode order for season 2 which is expected to air in 2016, according to International Business Times. The producers are confident about the prequel's success just like the original TWD series.
The show will premiere with an extended 90-minute episode on AMC Global channels worldwide and the season final will be followed by a special episode of a live talk show called "Talking Dead" which will be hosted by Chris Hardwick.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 will be on Oct. 11, 2015 while "Fear The Walking Dead" is set to premiere on AMC on Aug. 23, 2015 and the finale on Oct. 4, 2015.
