First Trailer for HBO's 'Spielberg' Documentary Released

The new trailer for the upcoming HBO documentary "Spielberg" has just been dropped, and it offered a peek at the renowned filmmaker's remarkable career over the years. In the exclusive presentation, fans will get to see Steven Spielberg's experiences as a director and how his filmography has changed through time.

Directed and produced by highly-acclaimed documentarian and "American Masters" creator Susan Lacy, the upcoming feature-length documentary will debut next month on HBO and its affiliate portals like HBO NOW, HBO GO, and HBO on Demand. It will primarily feature the evolution of Spielberg as a film director and includes content from around 30 hours of exclusive interviews with the director himself, who will talk about his life as a child. He also mentions how his age-old obsession with filmmaking inspired him to enter the film industry and make movies.

Exploring the director's filmography in depth, the documentary will also touch on the early days of Spielberg as a TV "wunderkind," his personal and professional ties, his forays into the creation of films that turned into blockbusters, as well as his motivations. As it chronicles Spielberg's relationships, the documentary will also feature interviews with his family, friends and colleagues.
