'Fist Fight' Release Date, News: Several TV Spots Unveiled to Hype the Film

Teachers are supposed to be the epitome of good manners and right conduct. But when two teachers engage in a brawl after school, it is guaranteed to be a chaotic riot of epic proportions. This is the story of Warner Bros. Pictures' "Fist Fight."

The extended official trailer for the movie shows the simplistic yet enticing plot of two teachers who are extremely different from each other. The timid and shy Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) is trying to get his head down and survive each day, yet when he rats on his destructive colleague, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), and the latter gets fired for it, Andy becomes the subject of Ron's rage and gets challenged to a fist fight.

The news spread like wildfire, which got the attention of everyone at school. The funny thing is that it wasn't just the students who were placing bets on who will win, but the faculty and administration are joining in the fun. It quickly rose as a huge spectacle with the hashtag, #teacherfight.

With the film's launch date looming in quickly, Warner Bros. Pictures has released not one, but six TV commercials to increase visibility. Each of them not only shows how Andy is going to be whopped real hard by Ron, but it also reveals how even authorities consent to the school brawl.

"Fist Fight" is a surefire comedic masterpiece when it hits theaters on February. The thought of Charlie Day trying to land a punch on Ice Cube is hilarious to imagine as it is, and the ensemble featuring Tracy Morgan and Jillian Bell adds to the chemistry. Currently, it has amassed a high 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes as a movie worth anticipating.

The comedy film is directed by Richie Keen and written by Van Robichaux, Evan Susser and Max Greenfield. Keen is known for his directorial work in various TV series such as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Sirens" and "The Goldbergs." It will be interesting to see how he pulls off the laughter in the movie.

"Fist Fight" brawls into cinemas on Feb. 17, 2017.
