'Five Nights at Freddy's' news: Live action adaptation has director and game creator collaborating

The success of "Five Nights at Freddy's" has certainly taken many people aback, especially its creators. Now, following the game is the confirmed live adaptation, which has fans jumping up and down their seats.

Although it's set to be made, it's still too early to get details about the movie, such as possible plots or casts. However, one thing certain is the director chosen for the movie. Realty Today reports that Gil Kenan was chosen to lead the film. There is no plot for now, but Kenan does have a vision, and that is to avoid using too much CGI in the film. He hopes to use practical effects to produce a scarier vibe to the film.

According to Design n Trend, Kenan is seemingly exploring animatronics now, as evident when he posted a photo on his Instagram about testing some animatronic renders, which could be a robotic antagonist. A speculation is that the Puppet character in Scott Cawthon's game will be part of the film. Aside from that, an arcade setting may be very much part of the film, as Kenan posted a picture of what seems to be a 1980s gaming establishment wall followed by a picture of a "Prize Center," which is a crucial element as it is the setting where the Puppet controls the spirits of dead children and puts them in character suits.

It is also said that Kenan has been focusing on collaborating with the game creators to produce a top-quality film. Many fans are worried that the film adaptation may not be as good as the video game, a common problem among many video game movie adaptations. Kenan is a fan himself of Five Nights at Freddy's so he is assuring followers that the movie team will be giving their best. He responded to one of the fans with, "I'm a big FNAF fan myself! The depth of the game storyline is amazing... Scott is one hell of a world builder!"

No release date yet for the movie has been announced for now.
