France vs Ecuador Live Stream Free, ESPN TV Start Time: Watch World Cup 2014 Football Online
France will play Ecuador on Wednesday in their final World Cup 2014 Group E game. Even though France have all but qualified for the Last 16 with two big wins so far from their two opening games, they still technically need a point from today's game to qualify. Ecuador meanwhile are under pressure to claim the win, knowing that Switzerland will be vying for all three points in their game against Honduras. The game will kick off at 4 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network. The game can also be watched online through free live stream (details below).
In Group E coming into these final games, France are top with six points from six, and a +6 goal difference. Ecuador are second with three points and a 0 goal difference. Switzerland meanwhile have three points as well but their blowout loss to France means their goal difference has dropped to -2 and leaves them on the edge. Honduras meanwhile, despite losing their opening two games, still technically can go through to the Last 16.
If Honduras win by a few goals against Switzerland, and France defeat Ecuador by enough then amazingly Honduras will go through with just three points.
Ecuador will be hoping to take down France in their encounter today though, and if they do they should progress. But with France in hot form it could be difficult. The French have done so well that they have become the fourth favorites to win the World Cup now, and along with Holland and Germany are among the leading European teams now in with a chance of the title.
However, the France team has been asked to keep their feet on the ground despite their excellent form. President of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Graet, has said, "France can't be too arrogant and say we're above this team or that…the team is very young and hasn't totally proved itself yet."
