Frankel 'Relieved' Over Talk Show Cancellation: 'I Want A Break'

Bethenny Frankel opened up further about the cancellation of her morning talk show on Fox this week.

The 43-year-old Skinnygirl mogul revealed a surprising reaction to news that "Bethenny" would never see a second season, despite having just celebrated its 100th episode earlier this month.

"I am relieved," Frankel wrote in an open letter on her blog on Monday, Feb. 24, almost a week after the production company Telepictures canceled "Bethenny."

"What I really want right now is to be with my daughter, to do yoga, to focus on Skinnygirl and my writing, and to give myself a break," Frankel added. "I have been striving and climbing and white-knuckling for so long that I need a rest from the grind. I'm a little over myself and wouldn't blame anyone else for being over me as well."

It comes as no surprise that Frankel may feel relieved over the end of the show. The former "Real Housewives of New York" star is a "fighter" and "will continue to grow" her SKinnygirl empire, according to a source close to her.

"The truth is, while she did love the show, it was hard to her to be edited every day in the daytime talk show world," the insider added, according to Us Weekly. "She is who she is, and she never wanted to have to edit herself, which she often had to do. So it is all for the best."

Frankel confirmed the report by describing her work on "Bethenny" as "diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted" in her blog post, referring to the strict content guidelines that daytime television requires.

Nevertheless, the television personality noted that the hosting duties were "one of the hardest jobs I have ever done," and celebrated the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey and Wendy Williams who also host daytime talk shows.

And despite the end of "Bethenny," Frankel promised fans that she "will be in touch as we always were," and signed off with "Love."
