Free Slurpee Day 2016: Rules for 7-Eleven Drink in USA and Canada; List of Flavors to Choose Before Walking In

Credit :

Free Slurpees today! Head over to 7-Eleven to get your free Slurpees this July 11 (hint: 7/11) as 2016 is no exemption for this annual tradition. The Rules: Simply walk into a 7/11 and get your free drink. This year, free Slurpee Day commemorates the Slurpee's 50th Birthday and 7-Eleven's 89th birthday. It is also Free Slurpee Day's 14th birthday.

7-Eleven anticipates more than 9 million free Slurpees will be given away on July 11.

In a Twitter post, 7-Eleven advertised the free cold, sugary, fuzzy delights saying "Crank up the chill, cuz @Slurpee is having a birthday party! #Slurpee50"

How to get a free Slurpee

To get a free Slurpee, all you have to do is walk into any 7-Eleven branch in any location in the U.S. or Canada, on July 11, starting at 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will receive a free, small-sized Slurpee of any flavor you want.

Slurpee Week

If you have the 7Rewards app and you purchased 7 drinks before July 18, then you will get 11 free drinks. The 7Rewards app allows you to get every 7th drink you buy free of charge.

After purchasing 7 Slurpees, a free 11-drink coupon will show up in the 7Rewards app. The 7Rewards program is not available for every store, though, so you'll have to ask your nearest local 7-Eleven.

7Rewards and Flavors

The free 7th cup comes in any size and in any cup. To earn 7Rewards, all you have to do is download the app, scan the barcode every time you checkout, and you're done.

Free Slurpees on July 11 are available in all types of flavors, from Fanta flavors, to Pineapple Mango, Sour Patch Redberry, Hawaiian Punch, Birthday Cake, and more.

More Flavors

Slurpees come in all kinds of flavors, but according to the 7-Eleven website, the most popular flavors are Wild Cherry and Coca-Cola. Lemonade, Pina Colada and Blue Raspberry are hits as well.

This event is similar to, but not like 7-Eleven's "Bring Your Own Cup Day." That promo, which ran on March 18 and 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.p., involved getting customers to bring any cup they have and fill it with Slurpee for only $1.50, the price of a medium Slurpee.

Before you think about bringing huge trash bags to 7-Eleven stores, there are, of course, rules to follow so you can avail of the promo. First, your cup must fit through a hole with a 5-inch radius. Next, your cup should be watertight and clean. Finally, you can only bring one cup per person.
