'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Air Date, Plot Theories: Liam Cunningham Teases July Premiere

As most fans know by now, "Game of Thrones" will not be airing in April, the usual month of premiere for the HBO fantasy series. So when will it air?

According to actor Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth on the show, it could be July. All that is known about the premiere of "Game of Thrones" is that it will take place in the summer. This is due to the weather conditions needed to film scenes for season 7.

"I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April," Cunningham told the Irish Independent. "It's July now, I think."

And while Cunningham is still unsure of the date, he also revealed that a special event is scheduled for the premiere. In September, production will begin for the eighth and final season of the popular series.

As for what the seventh season has in store for viewers, it has increasingly become apparent that a lot of characters will either be reuniting or meeting for the first time. One particular reunion between Arya Stark and her direwolf, Nymeria, has been surrounded by rumors. And, recently, it looks like those rumors have been confirmed.

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, was spotted in Canada, supposedly filming scenes for "Game of Thrones." The location also happens to be where the wolves are kept, and a certain wolf bears a great resemblance to Nymeria, who was last seen in season 1.

Another theory that has gained a lot of traction involves the Lannister twins. It is widely believed that Lena Headey's Cersei will die at the hands--or hand--of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's Jaime. However, Coster-Waldau thinks this prediction is "probably too obvious" to be true--something he told The Huffington Post. It is important to keep in mind, though, that the actor also does not know how things will end, which lends credence to the idea that Cersei will make it through season 7 alive.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 will premiere in the summer on HBO.
