The "Star Wars" creator was photographed doting on his baby daughter, carefully placing a life jacket on her with help from Hobson before enjoying a boat ride, according to the Daily Mail.

She was the first child for 44-year-old Hobson. Alternately, Everest is Lucas' fourth child, but his first biological child; the director has three adopted children. The baby girl joins older siblings Jett, 20, Katie, 25, and Amanda, 32.

Meanwhile, Lucas has ample time to spend with his four children. The legendary filmmaker recently sold his Lucasfilm production company to Disney for $4.05 billion, but donated much of it to organizations for educational purposes.

The movie mogul married Hobson back in June, according to the Huffington Post. The couple are not the only celebrities to opt for a gestational carrier while expanding their family.

Over the summer, Jimmy Fallon revealed that he and his wife Nancy welcomed their daughter via a surrogate. Winne Rose Fallon was born on July 23, but the couple waited until days later to reveal the surrogacy.

"We said, 'We're not going to tell anybody,'" Fallon recounted while on the "Today" show.

"It's just be more fun if it's private between me and my wife," he added. "And then we get to introduce her to everybody."

Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill Rancic also welcomed their son Edward Duke via surrogacy, as did "Hunger Games" actress Elizabeth Banks and "Sex & the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker.
