Gisele Bundchen Defends Tom Brady Against Hecklers

Gisele Bundchen, Brazilian supermodel and wife to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, reportedly defended her husband against critics after he lost in the Super Bowl.

After Brady's loss in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, a fan of the victorious New York Giants taunted Bundchen.

"Eli rules," the man taunted Bundchen in a video captured by "The Insider."

"Eli owns your husband," the man said.

Bundchen defended her husband's efforts, saying that he needed more help to win the game.

"You (have) to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball," she said. "My husband cannot (expletive) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

Days before the game, Brady's wife also offered support by encouraging people to pray for her husband, according to the New York Post.

"He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of willing this Super Bowl," Bundchen reportedly wrote in an email to friends and family. "So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this Sunday."

Bundchen comforted her husband with a hug after the Patriots' 21-17 loss to the Giants Sunday. Although Brady congratulated his victorious opponents, he admitted that he was upset.

"It always comes down to one or two plays in this game and if you make it, you're celebrating. If you don't, then you don't sleep for a week," Brady told the press after the game. "I give [the Giants] a lot of credit for the plays they made. They deserved to win and hopefully we'll be back at some point."

The Patriots' loss on Sunday was the second time in four years that the Giants beat the team in the Super Bowl.
