Golden State Warriors News: Curry and Company 1 Win Away From NBA Title, Can Cavs Extend to Game 7?

After going down 2-1 approaching Game 4, a lot of people thought the Golden State Warriors are done. During that time, it seemed LeBron James and Matthew Dellavedova of the Cleveland Cavaliers had them all figured out.

Only a few days later and the Warriors have regained control of the NBA Finals after a 104-91 win to go up 3-2 and only a game away from the championship.

It was Steph Curry who led Golden State with his 37 points, including seven triples, seven rebounds, and four assists to endure another brilliant performance from Cavs superstar LeBron James.

The four-time MVP scored 40 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists -- his second triple double of the series where two All-Star starters are missing for Cleveland, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving.

The game was as close as it can be for both squads, with 20 lead changes and 10 ties. James, Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith paved the way for the Cavaliers, while Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green and Carlos Barbosa made some impact on the offensive end.

However, it was Curry who was not contained late in the fourth, after scoring most of his points down the stretch.

"It was a fun moment, but it will only mean something -- and I'll probably have a better answer for that question after we win that championship -- but signature moments only come for players who are holding the trophy", said Curry in an interview after the game.

In the report by ESPN, 12 out of the last 14 teams who have won Game 5 in a series went on to win the series. But it seems James is not the least worried about it.

"I feel confident because I'm the best player in the world," said James who will once again do everything he can to prevent a Game 6 loss, which means a failed mission to bring Cleveland to its first championship in league history.
