'Gotham' Season 2: Actor David Mazouz Talks Young Bruce Wayne Becoming Batman

Fans won't only be looking forward to the next season of Fox's hit superhero TV drama series "Gotham" for its new set of villains. They should also be on the lookout for the development of David Mazouz's young Batman.

Mazouz, who played the young Bruce Wayne on the show, will continue to tread on the path to becoming the dark guardian of the city. The 14-year-old actor teased that his character will now start to embody the "dual personality" of the Dark Knight.

"He's on a mission and he really is going to start his dual personality into being Batman," Mazouz told Monkeys Fighting Robots. "When he's Batman there is his Batman side and then his public persona which is his playboy/party boy persona. In Season Two, he's really going to start developing that second persona."

For the meantime, the actors who will play the new big baddies in Season 2 have already been revealed.

James Frain ("True Blood", "Agent Carter") and Jessica Lucas ("Gracepoint") play the notorious Galavan siblings. Frain's Theo was described by TV Line as "the savior the city has been waiting for." But underneath his philanthropic façade is an evil plan to destroy Gotham. Working along with him is Lucas' Tabitha, who is known in the DC Comics as the villainess Tigress.

The character, which has been described as "sexy and violent" and is wielding a bullwhip, will be his brother's "lead enforcer."

Their introduction will "eventually lead to the destruction of some old villains and the creations of new ones."

"Gotham" Season 2 is slated to premiere on Monday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
