Fans of the hit crime fighting TV drama series "Gotham" should expect for more Batman comic villains to appear in the show when it opens for its brand new second season.

Series producer John Stephens addressing the fans during the WonderCon panel for Gotham this week.

The publication went on to point out the previous rumors about the arrival of supervillain Mr. Freeze, which Stephens also hinted in the event.

"We always want to walk the fine line of the reality of our world. Walking right up to that line where super-villains live. So there are a lot of characters from Batman lore that fit that bill. People like Victor Fries – who's a science villain. You can play a lot of his abilities without going into the world of superheroes," he added.

There's also the pressing matter of corruption happening within the Dark Knight's beloved city in which Stephens teased might also involve the Court of Owls.

"It's clear that there is a group of shadowy individuals that control and influence Wayne Enterprise and have great power in Gotham and may or may not be connected to Carmine Falcone. Is that The Court of Owls? Maybe… Keep watching and those questions will be answered," he went on to say.

"Gotham" Season 2 is confirmed to debut Wayne Enterprise's tech whiz, Lucius Fox, who will be played by Chris Chalk. Also slated to return are primary characters James Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie), Det. Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), and more others.

"Gotham" Season 2 premieres this Monday, April 13 on FOX.
