Audio Improvements Noticed in 'Gran Turismo Sport' Beta Testing

Snippets of 'Gran Turismo Sport' in action also coming out courtesy of the beta testing

The "Gran Turismo" games have long been considered among the most visually spectacular offerings, but in "Gran Turismo Sport," the improvements apparently go beyond just better graphics.

A new article from Game Revolution touches on how improvements to sounds have also been applied to the latest installment of this racing series.

Arguably the most remarkable of the improvements is that the cars themselves now are said to possess their own distinct audio-based identities, and car lovers may even be able to tell them apart even as they are roaring down the tracks.

The article adds that even the different elements of the car's inner mechanics will be heard clearer as well when they are used by the players, and that should help the drivers get into the game even more.

Developers have been talking about featuring improved audio quality in "Gran Turismo Sport" for a while now.

Producer Kazunori Yamauchi even talked a little bit earlier about how they would improve the sounds of the upcoming game, confirming to GTPlanet that a revamped audio system will be supplying the sounds this time around.

It appears that all the attention paid to featuring better audio quality in the new game has paid off, at least going by what's been heard in the beta testing.

Aside from the audio enhancements, players who have been able to try out the beta have also commented on the game's visuals.

Over on Reddit, some fans have praised the game for featuring such stunning visuals, while others have lamented the lack of easily visible damage appearing on the cars. It is worth noting, however, that some kind of damage system is expected to be in the game.

More news about "Gran Turismo Sport" should be made available soon, and while an exact release date is still unavailable, the new game is expected to hit stores this year.
