'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Spoilers, Plot News: Derek Addresses Cheating Rumors

The last episode of the hit medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 titled "Don't Dream It's Over" got the fans thinking if Derek (Patrick Dempsey) is cheating on Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).

Near the end of the segment, Dr. Grey was answered by a woman on Derek's phone who was currently in Washington DC. The incident got the doctor upset and utterly suspicious towards her other half, who as revealed, has done such things before.

"He's done this before. Met a girl, fell in love, started over. He's not cheating on me, right?" the resident surgeon said in Ep. 16.

She may have the reasons to think so given that the neuro-surgeon once left his former wife for her. It would seem likely that Derek is doing the same thing with her.

But before everything escalates, a promo video for the upcoming segment was posted by ABC revealing Derek "flying home in the middle of the night" to try to explain the situation to Mer. However, it appears that this might not be an easy one for him.

"I left my phone at the lab. By the time I figured out I left it, I was already at the airport coming to you," Derek explained to the troubled woman.

But the real question is, why a random stranger picks up the call for him.

"I don't know," he further reasoned out. "She probably thought it was me. I called her from the airport, then she told me she spoke to you."

"I wish I could believe you," Meredith apparently doubts the truth of his story. ""I know how this works. I was your resident once. Seems like you came home because you thought you were in trouble."

Meanwhile, the synopsis from The Futon Critic also indicates that Owen (Kevin McKidd) will be surprised to admit a patient which turns out to be his mother.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 airs Thursday, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
