The previous season saw the ending of April, played by Sarah Drew, and Jackson's, played by Jesse Williams, marriage. However, after giving birth to their child, the couple decided to look past their differences to raise their child.

Williams recently spoke to TV Line about the matter, stating that the upcoming episodes will bring a new kind of feel to their relationship. He said, "Their relationship may not have worked, they might have stumbled along the way, but they did accomplish something. There is a silver lining that kind of buoys them."

However, fans believe that the two of them will eventually end up together. Aside from the romance, there are rumors that a fan favorite character, Cristina Yang, who is played by Sandra Oh, will be returning to the show. Cristina was one of the original characters of the series.

After she left "Grey's Anatomy," she teased that she could still be involved in the series eventually. She said, "I told [Shonda Rhimes], 'If you guys want to finish it out however you want to finish it out, I'd be more than happy to come back. And if it doesn't fit in that way, I totally understand. I just want you to know that I'm available.'"

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will premiere on ABC sometime this year.
