Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin News: Stars 'on the Road to a Happy Reconciliation'?

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and singer Chris Martin ended their 11-year marriage in March of this year. Following those events, the Coldplay frontman allegedly had a short-lived relationship with Jennifer Lawrence, which in turn, is rumored to have also ended just last week.

Now, rumors surrounding the two suggest that it would only be a matter of time before they will reconcile.

Recent reports cited the 42-year-old actress surprising the crowd during a fundraising ceremony when she showed up with her ex.

Paltrow hosted the 2014 amfAR L.A. Inspiration Gala at Milk Studios in Hollywood to honor Tom Ford. She wowed that crowd when she came up with a "surprise performance" together with none other than the vocalist, according to the Us Magazine.

With co-member Johnny Buckland, the trio performed the band's hit songs "Paradise" and "Viva la Vida."

Those who were present in the event couldn't help but notice the "platonic love" they showed for each other.

"We thank you for your inner and outer beauty," Sharon Stone told Paltrow when she took the stage, "which you demonstrated by the fact that you get along with your ex-husband."

In a separate report, sources close to Paltrow and Martin claimed that the couple is "on the road to patching up their romance."

"Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another. I suppose it's a case of they can't live without one another," People said.

"Talk of officially ending their marriage is not even on the agenda. Lawyers haven't been introduced yet. The chances of there being a happy reconciliation are very high," Daily Mail U.K. added.

TMZ also spotted Chris, Gwyneth and their two children going to Katsuya in Brentwood to grab a family dinner last Tuesday.

"The split released a lot of pressure from the intense relationship but they are still very close. They look back and enjoy what they did have and are loving what they currently have," the media outlet added.
