'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' to Be Fixed and Enhanced, Says 343 Industries

Developer 343 Industries has announced fixes and enhancements for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

The announcement was made via a recent livestream. While specific details were not revealed, fans are nevertheless looking forward to the improvements to the collection, which was first released in 2014. 

"Halo: The Master Chief Collection" consists of "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary," "Halo 2: Anniversary," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4." These games were first released in earlier Xbox consoles, but the collection made them available to Xbox One players.

The collection received generally positive reviews, but there were a lot of complaints about different bugs and issues. Forbes' Paul Tassi called the game "the worst major game release in a decade." Since its release, however, some bugs were fixed, though there are still a number of them left lingering.

In the comments section of the livestream posted on YouTube, many fans expressed their support for 343 Industries and were excited about the update. The collection may have gotten a bad rap, but it is clear that there is still a large player base worth listening to.

According to a blog post published on the Xbox website, the collection "will receive enhancements for Xbox One X, as well as fixes, improvements and upgrades to the core game to help bring it forward and modernize many of the game's systems to take advantage of Xbox platform advancements since its original launch."

The post further revealed that the process will entail cooperation from the community. 343 Industries will be releasing a public "fighting" program that will help with the patches. Players are also asked to participate in testing the fixes and give their feedback. There are no concrete scheduling plans as of yet, except for a target period of next spring, though more news will come soon enough.
