'Halo Wars 2' Tips and Tricks: Why Building Supply Pad and Power Generator Immediately is Essential

Now that "Halo Wars 2" is about to be released for everyone, players who got the exclusive early access have put up several tips and tricks to get ahead of the game. And one of the best pieces of advice is building the Supply Pad and Power Generator as soon as possible.

"Halo Wars 2," the sequel to the real-time strategy game "Halo Wars," was developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly. It is published by Microsoft Studios. Players who purchased the "Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition" got the advantage of having early access to it starting last Friday.

According to a report from VG24/7, one of the most helpful things that needs to be done right after players get through the tutorials is putting up a Supply Pad.

In order to progress in the game, players will need to acquire units, abilities and buildings, and these things require gamers to have enough supplies to be built. Having a Supply Pad where these requirements can be stored is a good investment before players dig dipper into the game.

Apart from supplies, players will find that the two main resources needed to last in "Halo Wars 2," apart from supplies, is power, which explains the need to build a Power Generator early on in the game. Once these two structures are up, players are sure to be off to a good start.

Players are highly advised to first create the Supply Pad and the Power Generator before working on other buildings.

On the other hand, the developers of "Halo Wars 2" have introduced the Blitz. It is a competitive mode where players need to score more than their opponent within a span of 12 minutes. It can be played in a 1v1 to 3v3 mode.

The key to getting points is gathering more Control Zones. Having the same number of Control Zones with the opponent does not award points to anyone.

When a player or a team gets the advantage, they will get a point every 1.3 seconds. Once the controlled Zones go up to three, the dominating player or team will activate the Total Domination bonus. This awards them a point in every 0.7 second. There is always a chance to get the upper hand until there is enough time in the 12-minute period.

"Halo Wars 2" will be released worldwide on Feb. 21 on Xbox One and PC.
