'Hannibal' Season 3 Release Date News: NBC Psych Thriller in Florence to Film Season's First Half

One of the highest rated and intensely thrilling psych TV series "Hannibal" will be in Italy for the rest of the month of December to film the first half of its third season, according to reports.

The show's official Twitter account posted a message indicating that the crew and staff were in fact in Florence to shoot scenes.

"Ciao from Florence! Can someone tell us how to say 'Eat the rude' in Italian? #Hannibal," the tweet from NBCHannibal reads.

Recent updates of the show indicates Italian actor Fortunato Cerlino joining the cast for its brand new season.

Going to his social media, the actor posted a photo of the front page of the "Antipasto" script and captioned it with: "Season 3. I will be there" in Italian.

The following days also see yet another set of Twitter photos of him with the Hannibal cast members including Lawrence Fishburne and Mads Mikkelsen.

Fan site Hannibalism meanwhile reported that aside from the Italian actor and Hannibal Lecter himself, also spotted filming in the Florence streets are Hugh Dancy and Gillian Anderson.

The website added that the production will either stop inside a certain café located outside the Uffizi Museum or in front of the Ponte S. Trinita. The other possible location mentioned also includes Santa Maria Novella train station.

Previous reports already indicated that the forthcoming season will greatly deal with the elements from Thomas Harris' novel "Hannibal Rising," "Red Dragon," and "Hannibal." FashionStyle.com meanwhile said that series creator Bryan Fuller had to make some "tweaking" of the source material like he did with the first two seasons.
