Holly Holm News: 'The Preacher's Daughter' posts humble, positive post-fight Instagram reaction after winning title

Newly crowned UFC bantamweight queen Holly Holm had nothing but positivity after winning the title.

"The Preacher's Daughter" shocked the mixed martial arts world when she dealt Rousey her first loss via a vicious kick to the jaw. It was done during a time when "Rowdy" was riding the wave of massive success, and was making Hollywood films and appearing in magazine covers.

The 34-year old Holm now becomes the first female fighter to ever win both a boxing world title and a UFC title. She did express her gratitude towards the people who had helped her along the way, through a lengthy Instagram post she put up a day after the fight.

"Trying to process and take it all in. There aren't enough words to express what I am feeling. Thank you @ufc for the opportunity and most of all thank you to my team for believing in me," she wrote. "All the hours in the gym and all the years of dedication to help me get to this moment. This is a priceless moment and I could not have done this on my own."

Holm trains with at the renowned Jackson-Winklejohn gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is also the training ground of some of the UFC's best fighters such as former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit, and lightweight title contender Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.

Greg Jackson and Mike Winklejohn are deemed as two of the best trainers in the world, and Holm was appreciative of what he has learned from them.
