Sam Horowitz's bar mitzvah video has gone massively viral. The young man had his bar mitzvah last November at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, Texas and made a grand, extravagant entrance.
He later explained that his entrance stemmed from seeing the Cheetah Girls in concert when he was young, just 7 years old.
His mother, Angela Horowitz, has described, "He said right then, 'I wanna do that at my bar mitzvah.' And he held me to it."
A production company was hired and put in charge, with a stunt man even being drafted in to accompany Horowitz inside a descending chandelier. Local dancers were hired to jazz up the entrance, and even some Dallas Mavericks cheerleaders were drafted in to the cast.
Horowitz has told Good Morning America, "It was so much work. I had to practice every weekend for three hours for a month, and when the show actually got close we had to start adding extra rehearsals with the dancers and the chandelier so everything fell into place. It took a lot of practice."
However, the results were extraordinary and Horowitz has since claimed that it was the best day of his young life so far: "The party really was special, but the party is just a celebration. It's really about the service, and it took two years to prepare for that. It's a really big milestone in my life and it meant a lot to me, so I'm happy people are enjoying it."
His mother said, "Sam wants to be famous in the entertainment industry. He loves to sing and dance. He's a really passionate kid."
Horowitz has already featured in a number of commercials, and is signed up to an agent who gets him new gigs.
