'House of Cards' Cast News, Update: Season 4 Casting of Doctors and Medical Personnel Teases a More Machiavellian Chapter

Netflix is reportedly getting ready now to commence the production for the highly-anticipated 4th season of its hit political drama series "House of Cards" and new reports surfaced online saying that the show is looking for actors to portray the roles of doctors and other medical personnel.

Citing the casting call posted on Facebook by the Marinella Hume Casting Baltimore/DC, the report from VCPost.com indicated that the series is currently on the lookout for actors whom they want to fill in the above said roles.

The announcement did clarify that they are not particularly looking for real-life doctors, nurses and people of the profession. However, a background in the field would be a plus, the site said.

The age requirement for the roles is between 25 to 50 years old. The male and female hopefuls are however required to not have any facial hair or any unnatural hair colors. It remains to be found out how these roles will play out in the upcoming series installment.

Speculations indicated that since Season 4 will feature more "Machiavellian Scheming," it can be deduced that there will be "one or two people" who will be heading to the hospital.

Whether it's between Frank (Kevin Slpacey) and Claire (Robin Wright), it is still unknown. There's also a possibility that someone in the circle will be joining the fray.

Enstarz.com cited HoC executive producer Michael Dobbs's interview with The Express. He teased to the publication that "all politicians get their comeuppance at some point but the question is whether they survive and come back for more."

"Frank in season three said I'm on the way out, I'm not going to stand for re-election and then we discover by the end of season three perhaps he's changed his mind. So you can always expect the unexpected in politics," he said (via Enstars).

"House of Cards" returns to Netflix for Season 4 in 2016.
