'House of Cards' Season 4 Spoilers: Claire Officially Leaves Frank in Season 4? Exec Reveals Story Line

Fans of the hit Netflix series "House of Cards" were apparently divided over the previous season's story line, and executive producer Beau Willimon says a lot of season 4's planning came from the feedback of the masses, which means aside from the political drama, the First Lady will be seen in a whole new point of view.

As every fan of the White House drama already knows, season 3 focused on the marriage of President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright). The story line was very much different from what fans saw in the previous two seasons where the powerhouse couple claimed victory after victory in the political realm.

Many fans went crazy after noticing in the first few episodes that Frank and Claire won't be showing some political action in their old-fashioned Underwood way, and according to Willimon, he understands how fans felt.

Willimon said earlier in an interview with E! Online that season 3's focal point was to look inside the struggles of the power couple — how they seem to be utterly strong in the face of dirty politics but severely broken inside the home. After looking at some of what the fans have to say, the EP says season 4 will be back to what the audience know "House" for: politics.

In season 4, Frank will be protecting his crown as President of the United States, and as he battles other presidential candidates, he will also fight another round of issues as his wife does the impossible.

According to the EP, Claire will pick up from season 3's pains and will tell Frank that she'll be leaving him. "I could see Claire Underwood doing anything she wanted. Frank better watch his step," Willimon said.

In addition to the already intense events that fans know will take place in the White House as elections draw near, it would be interesting to see how voters will react to a once powerful President with the help of his wife, who will now be in the verge of losing the one person who stuck with him all this time.

"House of Cards" season 4 is expected to release early next year.
