Viewers of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" were left stunned after brothers-in-law, Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga, engaged in a brawl during Sunday night's episode.

Giudice and Gorga, along with their bickering wives, Teresa and Melissa, were joined by co-stars, Richie and Kathy Wakile, during a family retreat in Lake George, New York at the base of the Adirondack Mountains. The three couples along with Kathy's sister, Rosie, agreed to iron out their ongoing issues during the trip with the help of counselors however the situation took a turn almost immediately and all hell broke loose.

"Stop hurting us! I'm asking you to stop! I have no pride; you're the queen, I'm on my knees!" Melissa sarcastically pleaded with her sister-in-law Teresa during an argument.

Gorga, who is Teresa's only brother, then intervened in his wife's confrontation with Teresa, 40, as their co-stars nervously watched on.

"You're disappointing our family! You should stick with your sister!" Teresa yelled at her brother to which he replied by calling her "scum!"

"Joe, he just called me scum! I want to leave," Teresa said to Giudice after storming off on her brother.

Giudice, who has his own history of feuds with Gorga, immediately marched inside and demanded that the father-of-three apologize to Teresa for the nasty comment. Before he could complete his sentence, both men charged at one another and a violent brawl erupted.

"It all started when Melissa and Joe Gorga were in a room with some other people, and they were arguing with Teresa," a source previously told Celebuzz.com.

"Teresa called for her husband, and when he came into the room, Joe Gorga charged at him," the source said with another insider adding that "Joe Gorga charged at Joe Giudice, and Joe Giudice put him in a chokehold."

At one point Melissa, 37, was seen lunging at both men in an attempt to break them apart and Rosie along with Richie also intervened.

"Joe Gorga got behind Joe Giudice and had him in a bear-hug — but not the affectionate kind," a source said. "Joe Giudice punched Joe Gorga in the side, twice. Teresa was there, but she left the room mid-fight."

While the brawl was alarming for many viewers, reports claim that another physical fight breaks out at season five progresses. Gorga reportedly confronted another man over rumors about Melissa on the hit Bravo reality TV show during the opening of Kim DePaola's Posche 2 boutique in Ridgewood, N.J. in March.

"Joe Gorga approached a guy named Jonathan Karagiorgis and confronted him about all the things he's said about Melissa [Gorga] on Twitter, and Jonathan admitted he was writing about her," an insider allegedly told Fox News' Tom Murro.

In recent months, various reports have surfaced online which all allude to an alleged extramarital affair involving Melissa, Gorga's wife of eight-years.

"As the two guys were arguing, Joe asked Jonathan where he got all his misinformation and Jonathan replied, 'Why don't you ask your sister?'" the source said, referring to Teresa.

Fellow 'Housewife' Jacqueline Laurita, 38, reportedly also got involved in the dispute after her husband Chris allegedly began confronting Karagiorgis. Chris has allegedly been furious over claims suggesting he and Jacqueline fabricated their 3-year-old son Nicholas' autism diagnosis.

"Jonathan was not backing down, and that's when they all started to exchange blows! Jacqueline kicked off her shoes and b---- smacked Jonathan on the back of his head!" the source revealed.

"This is where the Manzo boys along and Lauren Manzo jumped in out of nowhere to break up the fight!" the source went on, adding, "bowls were broken, glass everywhere."

Charges were filed after the violent brawl and the case is ongoing.
