Although HP has announced that all hardware devices running its webOS would be discontinued, information on the company’s TouchPad Go 7-Inch WebOS Tablet was recently shared by PreCentral from leaked presentation.

According to PreCentral, the TouchPad Go’s full specifications indicate a 7-inch tablet with a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 1 GB of RAM and the Qualcomm Adreno 220 GPU and 16GB or 32 GB of storage.

It was designed with Wi-fi and Bluetooth radios, GPS, 5 megapixel camera on the rear, together with the 1.3 megapixel video chat camera up front and stereo speakers.

The IPS screen retained the 1024x768 pixel count, but this would have resulted in sharper images on the table’s IPS touchscreen at the 7-inch form factor. The TouchPad Go was expected to measure 13mm thick and weigh around one pound. As opposed to the TouchPad’s glossy and slippery back, it was designed with a grippy soft-touch back.

What set the TouchPad Go apart is its horizontal orientation, with its buttons and the camera’s physical orientation rotated 90 degrees.

HP saw fit to reorient the Go as landscape and this gives some insight into the company’s original plans for the tablet. However, just like other tablets the Go could run in any orientation, PreCentral has said.

GPS was a new feature for the TouchPad Go, being the first Wi-Fi webOS tablet to include with GPS. On-board turn-by-turn navigation would have been included via a partnership between HP and GPS personal navigation device builder Navigon.

TouchPad Go was originally planned to be launched by fall this year, but sadly, that would never be.
