The leaked photos were from a Twitter user, @OnLeaks, and were uploaded to give users a better look at the new One A9. The Twitter user teased his followers a few days ago, saying, "Anyone listening, ready for a fresh new leak?" After that, OnLeaks posted the photos of the new HTC device, with a caption saying, "Well, here is your very best look at #HTCA9 aka #HTC's Aero... #Dummy"

The report also added that the device on the leaked photos came from a dummy unit, which is usually being used at AT&T local stores.

According to Phandroid, the HTC One A9 is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and 2 GB RAM. It is also said to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 4-megapixel front camera. The website added that it will have a 5-inch AMOLED display, 16 GB internal storage, and a fingerprint reader. The HTC One A9 is also speculated to come in different metallic colors.

PC Mag also said that the upcoming HTC smartphone will be launched next week, on Oct. 20, at a "virtual" event. HTC fans can't wait for the unveiling of their new device, to see how it will match against its rivals from Apple and Samsung.
