HTC One M10 Release Date, Specs: Flagship to Start Selling in 4 Months?

HTC is rumored to start selling its next flagship smartphone — the HTC One M10 — in three or four months and fans are excited to know the specs and features of the upcoming device.

There are speculations that the Taiwanese firm will schedule the unveiling of the HTC One M10 to coincide with the World Mobile Congress that will commence from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25 in Barcelona, Spain. However, fans are advised to take this piece of information with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet, according to The Bitbag.

As of now, confirmed details on the HTC One M10 are still scant, but Android insider LlabTooFer had earlier revealed that the device is code-named "HTC Perfume." The insider also said the flagship will run HTC's Sense 8.0 user interface with Android 6.1 Marshmallow, the report details.

"Remember reports about next HTC's flagship codename HTC O2? It's dead," LlabTooFer said in a Twitter statement. "… HTC Perfume is next flagship. Android 6.1 and Sense 8.0_GP."

In terms of appearance, the One M10 is expected to look sleeker than its predecessor, the M9. HTC may come up with a more radical look with no bezel and an edge-to-edge design, Mobi Picker reports.

The HTC One M10 is expected to run an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 802 SOC with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable up to 200 GB via microSD card slot. The upcoming flagship phone will also boast of a 27-megapixel rear snapper with optical image stabilization and a 5-inch Quad HD display, the report relays.

Aside from that, the M10 will reportedly have dual SIM card support, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, iris scanner, and wireless charging feature. Rumor has it that HTC's next flagship will carry a price tag hovering from $650 to $700.

More details about the specs and release date of the HTC One M10 are expected to surface in the next few weeks.
