HTC One M8 and M7 Android 4.4.3 Update with Sense 6.0 Coming This Month

The Android 4.4.3 update with Sense 6.0 is currently undergoing testing and is expected to roll out for the HTC One M8 and M7 later this month.

A roadmap leaked earlier this week that confirms HTC's testing of the software. Android 4.4.3 still hasn't been released by Google at this time, but is expected to roll out for other devices around the same time.

This update will also give HTC One M7 owners the opportunity to run Sense 6.0, which is only available on the M8 at this time. The software was promised by HTC at the unveiling of the new flagship device.

Android 4.4.3 with Sense 6.0 is scheduled to hit the HTC One M7 a bit later as the roadmap reveals a June/July rollout. Android 4.4.3 will be released for the Google Play Edition in May/June.

A new software update for the HTC One M8 model is now available for Verizon customers.

This update is significantly different from the one that rolled out for Sprint users earlier this month. This version does not alter the device's extreme power saving mode as it was issued to correct bugs and improve overall performance.

The change-log for it states that it will provide an ERI Update to remove the roaming indicator icon displayed on some HTC One M8s, will resolve issues related to webpage and application connection errors in certain conditions, will enhance Bluetooth connectivity, integrates a new copy/paste feature in the gallery, will add Mute/Edit buttons to the video highlights tile, and will improve sync behavior while closing the flip with Dot matrix case.

Sprint customers can now download a new firmware that will bring extreme power saving mode. The actual feature is called Extreme Power Saving Mode and it sustains the One M8 when the power is extremely low and allows it to make emergency calls.

It turns off smart functionality which gives users a basic home screen with a phone dialer, text messaging, calculator, calendar and HTC email. This mode can yield 15 hours of use on just 5 percent battery.
