Huawei Honor 7 Arrives in India on Oct 7, Specs Include 5.2-inch Display, 3GB RAM and Fingerprint Scanner

Chinese technology company Huawei will be making some noise on Oct. 7 in India as they will be launching their flagship smartphone Honor 7. There's no detail yet whether the handset will go on sale on the same day but it's coming and fans from the country are excited already.

According to Softpedia, Huawei Honor 7 is one of the most well-known Android flagship smartphones sold in the market today. It made its official debut in China in June and garnered 9 million pre-orders in the first week. The smartphone then arrived in Europe just this summer where it was priced at around €350. There is no information yet on how much the Honor 7 will cost as soon as it is unveiled in India, but rumors say that it may be priced at around Rs 20,000, which is less expensive than the European variety.

As for the specifications of Honor 7, Android Headlines detailed that the smartphone has a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS-NEO LCD display. It is powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz Kirin 935 processor and comes along with a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU for the graphics. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and carries an internal storage of either 16GB or 64GB. It can be further expanded though up to 128GB via microSD card.

Moreover, the smartphone will be equipped with an impressive 20MP primary camera and will feature phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. The front will have an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. A fingerprint scanner can also be found on the back of the phone.

MobiPicker conveyed that the handset is presently running Android 5.0 Lollipop. But consumers can expect Huawei to roll out the latest OS Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Honor 7 later on. While international variants have single SIM model only, Indian buyers will have the option to purchase the dual-SIM version.
