Huawei MediaPad X2 Specs, Price Review: Unveils New Phablet at MWC 2015
Huawei, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, recently unveiled its second generation phone-tablet or phablet at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Called the MediaPad X2, the phablet is the latest version of the company's tablet line called the MediaPad.
The company has not shared when the X2 will be available in markets as well as pricing details. According to an Engadget report, its pricing may not stray far from what X1 costs when it first came out in 2014. The X1 with 16G internal storage was priced at $445.
The X2 sports the same design as its predecessor, the X1. Huawei has not made any major design changes to the tablet. When it comes to the technical specifications, however, there is one major difference: the availability of wifi, which according to Engadget was not available in the X1.

It has a 7-inch HD display with a 323ppi pixel density, and it equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It runs on the new Android Lollipop with Huawei's proprietary Emotion User Interface 3.0.
Under the hood, it is powered by a much faster processor than the 1.6GHz processor of the X1. The X2 sports a 64-bit 2GHz Kirin 930 octa-core processor (combination of quad-core 2GHz and quad-core 1.5GHz) paired with the Mali T-628 Graphic Processing Unit or GPU. The X2 is available in two variants: 2G RAM with 16G internal storage and 3G RAM with 32G internal storage.
Its battery has a capacity of 5000mAh and it only weighs 239 grams, with a thickness of 7.28mm. A report in NDTV says that Huawei calls it the "world's slimmest phablet."
A company spokesperson at the launch said that the phablet "focuses on the five classic applications that are most important to users, which include – call quality, social media apps, online shopping, video and camera features to provide an enhanced user experience."
