Iggy Azalea Twitter News: Star Quits Social Media After Bullying Comments

In a move to avoid bullying and online negativity, rapper Iggy Azalea has decided to quit Twitter on Thursday, Feb. 19.

The "Fancy" rapper said that she decided to quit the medium because she's finding it "negative and draining." Azalea, who was spotted while on holiday in a bikini in Hawaii with boyfriend Nick Young on Sunday, took to Twitter upon her return from her vacations to say that her detractors have commented on her cellulite.

"Just got back from a great vacation, came online and apparently it's shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite," she tweeted late Wednesday. "I just want to have peace and relaxation time without a [paparazzi] with a long-distance lens hiding out taking pictures. Everyone deserves peace."

"I want you to know I am taking some time away from social media. I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining," she continued. "To become nasty because of the way I feel I am treated would be a disservice to my fans and I promise I will try to keep smiling."

"I feel the hatred and pettiness I see online at all times is making me become an angry person and I cannot be that," she explained.

The rapper said that her management will tweet and run her accounts from now on "unless any message is signed- IA."

"Love you all, peace out," she wrote, before adding a parting shot: "The Internet is the ugliest reflection of [mankind] there is."

Azalea recently had a Twitter war with Papa John's after a delivery guy leaked her private number to family and friends. She has also been embroiled in a war of words on the website with rappers Azalea Banks, Eve, and Snoop Dogg.
