'Injustice 2' News: DLC Character With an Unexpected Style of Play Will Be in 'Fighter Pack 3,' Hints Ed Boon

The Atom already confirmed to be one of the characters included in 'Fighter Pack 3'

NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon is well-known for his distinct style of generating hype, and he was at it again recently while teasing that something new was coming to "Injustice 2."

Boon recently attended the Brasil Game Show, and while there, he talked to IGN Brasil about one of the characters included in "Fighter Pack 3."

According to a translation of Boon's comments provided by Game Rant, one of the characters coming to the game was going to surprise fans. Furthermore, he also teased that this character will feature an unexpected style of play.

That teaser about the character featuring a unique playstyle was quite interesting.

Perhaps this was a hint from Boon that the still unknown character will feature something that is unlike anything utilized by the other characters already included in "Injustice 2."

For instance, as Game Rant already noted, Spawn has been a popular suggestion among players, and the latest teaser from Boon may actually make sense if he is the character being discussed. Spawn famously gets some assistance during battles from that recognizable red cape of his, and if he is added to the fighting game, then maybe that item will factor heavily into his moveset.

The newest tease from Boon also seemed to hint at a theme for "Fighter Pack 3."

Previously, The Atom was confirmed as the first character included in the downloadable content pack. And just going by his introduction trailer, it seems like he will play quite differently inside the fighting game.
