Insurgent Release Date: Divergent Movie Sequel to Premiere in March 2015

The film adaptation to the novel "Divergent" was met with a huge success, and its audiences already preparing for a sequel that is slated for a March 2015 release.

The novel that the film was taken from is also a trilogy, much like another similar novel-to-film adaptation, "The Hunger Games." The first book is titled "Divergent," while the second book is called "Insurgent," and the third book is titled "Allegiant."

Since the premiere of the film "Divergent," it has been compared to a similarly-themed film series, "The Hunger Games." Both novel series and film franchises have a dystopian world theme which focuses on main characters who are deviants from the standards of the said dystopia.

Because of such a similarity, the trailer for the second film, "Insurgent," will be shown alongside the trailer for The Hunger Games "Mockingjay Part 1." Young adult film franchises are experiencing a boom in the film industry and "Divergent" might have just come in time to enjoy it.

Naturally, sequels should be bigger and more exciting than the previous films and "Insurgent" won't be an exception. Lionsgate, the film company in-charge of the film's development, promises a sequel filled with bigger action sequences. Aside from more action-paced scenes, the film will also be darker than the first one.

In addition to the bigger and darker sequel, the film also introduces the British-Australian actress Naomi Watts who will play the role of Evelyn, Four's mother who was thought to be dead in the first movie. As it turns out, Evelyn is the leader of the factionless zone, where a rebellion is being planned against the whole system.

Lionsgate also expects the film to become a huge success, much like the first film. They expect this trend to follow through up to the third film.
