iOS 11 Problems: Downloading Delays, Microsoft Mail Apps Glitch

The highly-anticipated iOS 11 has finally arrived. Yet, Apple device users are still encountering problems before they can get their hands on the new mobile operating system.

According to reports, some of the iPhone and iPad users who are attempting to download the latest software experience a significant delay before they can get it running on their devices. This may be caused by the number of people who are downloading the software at once.

Aside from the downloading delay, another report revealed that Apple is currently working closely with a team from Microsoft to fix a reported issue that blocks Outlook, Office 365, and Exchange 2016 users from sending or answering emails with the use of the built-in Mail app in iOS 11.

The Cupertino-based tech giant released a statement on their Support page to acknowledge the glitch."If your email account is hosted by Microsoft on Outlook.com or Office 365, or an Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016, you might see this error message when you try to send an email with iOS 11: 'Cannot Send Mail. The message was rejected by the server.'"

Apple is expected to solve the said issue and come up with a solution in an upcoming software update that is set to be released in the coming days.

Microsoft also released a statement about the said glitch, saying that the Mail app that was included in the new iOS 11 is not compatible with their email apps that run on Windows Server 2016. But they are currently working to fix the issue and inform the users as soon as the update becomes available.

iPhone and iPad users can download the iOS 11 by clicking the Settings app in their devices. Then they should select the General tab and choose the Software Update tab to activate the downloading process.
