iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 Unveiling Event Livestream: Where and How to Watch

The iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 unveiling event might end up being broadcast via livestream through "Apple Events" on Apple TV.

The channel recently returned to the company's TV system hinting at the possible livestream of today's event where various products including two new tablets will be introduced for the first time.

Apple has offered livestreams of events in the past, but did not do so for last month's iPhone 5S unveiling.

Apple might also allow viewers to watch the event on its website. The official keynote is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Various sites such as MacRumors and CNET will have full coverage of it with their live blogs.

Apple has not confirmed exactly what products will be making an appearance at today's event, however; various publications have reported that new MacBook Pros and OS X Mavericks are possible candidates.

The iPad 5 release date was basically confirmed for tomorrow by a credible source.

A report in The Wall Street Journal this week basically agreed with previous rumors claiming Apple would introduce the public to a new thinner version of its full sized iPad and the next-gen iPad mini.

"Apple is now readying a revamped iPad Mini with a high-resolution "retina" display," wrote the publication. "It's also working on a thinner, lighter version of its standard 9.7-inch iPad, using a thin film instead of the glass found in existing models, based on the information from the company's parts suppliers."

The Wall Street Journal predicts that the fifth-generation iPad will feature thinner side bezels and an overall smaller size. The new iPad mini will come with a retina display giving it a resolution far superior to many of the smaller tablets currently found on the market.
