iPhone 5 Appears in Leaked Apple Inventory?

Die-hard Apple fans have been speculating about whether the company will release the iPhone 5 at its "Let's Talk iPhone" press event and it looks as though consumer curiosity may be cured. The new version of the popular device has leaked into Apple inventory.

The leak has been reported on various Japanese IT websites. It is the result of a speech made by the head of China Unicom discussing that the iPhone 5 would offer faster Internet using HSPA+.

The leak appears to be reputable as it is derived from an official Apple inventory and from the head of a Chinese telecoms company. It appears to confirm that a newer and faster device is likely to be announced at the Oct. 4 Apple event.

Rumors have been swirling about what new gadgets and features the new device could have. Or if the company would simply keep the iPhone 5 design identical to that of the iPhone 4 – and just bump up its specs.

The Daily Mail reported that a new iPhone could have an eight megapixel camera, 1 Gb of RAM, and a speech-to-text functionality.

A speech feature has long been part of the speculation regarding the new iPhone. However, the expected phone may be called iPhone 4S, not iPhone 5.

The much-anticipated “Let’s Talk iPhone” event will be held at Apple’s headquarters, and not in its large San Francesco venue. This has caused some concern that a new phone will not actually be launched.

Even if the new phone is announced at the Apple event, excited consumers will have to stay patient as the devise would not make it out onto the market until around the 14th or 15th of October.
