iPhone 5S and 5C Cases Already Available Through Third Party Companies

Cases for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are already being offered.

Shorty after the unveiling of the two new devices, many third-party companies started offering their own cases for the smartphones. The main difference between the two is that the cases for the iPhone 5C feature many cut out holes in order to show off the color of the handset.

There is already a large selection of iPhone 5C cases available online and companies such as Otterbox Commuter and Moshi will sell theirs shortly after the device launches later this month. A lot of the cases that can be seen here do a much better job at showing off the colorful backing on the 5C.

iPhone 5S cases feature the same dimensions and physical design of the previous model. Various manufacturers have begun offering iPhone 5 cases for both devices. The only issue with purchasing an iPhone 5 case for the new model is that the fingerprint sensor could end up being covered by it since it is part of the home button. Buyers looking to use 5 cases on the 5S should avoid these versions that conceal the button since the fingerprint sensor would not work. This becomes more of an issue for waterproof cases that attempt to cover the entire face of the phone. Otterbox announced earlier this week that it has tweaked its defender series cases in order to accommodate the new iPhone 5s and its fingerprint sensor.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S at a media event earlier this week. The iPhone 5C functions as a low-cost model and features similar specs to the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5S is the next-gen model and comes with an improved camera, fingerprint sensor, and A7 processor.
