iPhone 6, Plus Pre-Order Delivery, Shipping Times, Backorder for AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile Jump Customers
Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 6 has only been available for pre-order for a few days with Apple and corresponding retailers already facing rapidly depleting stocks and delays in delivery. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus pre-order started Sept. 12 and has been available from the Apple website and other major U.S. wireless carriers like Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
Apple's online store has already seen pre-orders overrun initial stocks for the iPhone 6 Plus and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 version, getting a 7-10 day shipping period. Since the opening of the pre-order shipping estimates have shot up to 3-4 weeks both in the U.S and International Apple Stores.
Major U.S. carriers like Verizon and AT&T still have some color variants and storage options available but those are also quickly going out of stock too and many may have to wait until mid-late October, or even November.

It would also seem that the larger iPhone 6 Plus is selling better than the 4.7-inch version and it is unclear on whether the Cupertino company can release new stocks quickly enough to match consumer demand.
Demand for both variants of the iPhone 6 has reached record heights for both Apple and its partner carriers.
"This is our biggest iPhone, pre-order launch day ever," AT&T CEO Glenn Lurie said.
The amount of people trying to get their hands on the iPhone 6 has congested servers for Apple and its partner re-sellers and has forced the company to take reservations instead, processing the order at a later time to avoid real-time order issues. They have even opted to allow taking orders on the App Store to curb the traffic.
T-Mobile had one of the toughest pre-order opening days, with its systems clogged up immediately and its Jump customers in particular being blocked from pre-ordering the iPhones for most of Friday. The company has since said that any Jump customers who ordered the device over the weekend would get priority. Those who managed to order the device on Friday are likely to get the device in the first wave, according to some T-Mobile blogs, although it may be as late as Wednesday before delivery dates are confirmed for many in the first wave of deliveries.
For Sprint, as of Monday morning, the iPhone 6 pre-orders for all Gold, and Gray and Silver (64GB and 128GB) versions should be available by September 19, however, iPhone 6 16GB versions in Gray and Silver could be delayed up to 3 weeks. All iPhone 6 Plus phones are looking at 4-6 weeks wait now.
For AT&T on Monday, the iPhone 6 is looking at a 21 to 35 business days wait for many new pre-orders, although the 128GB Gold version is available in 7-14 business days. For the iPhone 6 Plus, customers may have to wait until November 9 to 27 to get their devices.
Verizon meanwhile has labeled its iPhone 6 Plus as "Will Deliver By 10/28" on its website for the 16GB version, where as the 64GB and 128GB versions are labeled as "11/4".
For those wanting to chance it, the iPhone 6 and Plus will be made available in Apple's walk-in retail stores on the Sept. 19 launch day, although customers should realize that in many locations there will be very limited supply compared to demand, and it is likely that the 16GB variant will be the most available in store on that day, according to various sources.
