Apple's latest iPhone is coming, and people want to know more about the phone that they are looking forward to this year. The latest flagship phone is said to be announced in September with a release following the next month.
Nowadays, the standard 4.0-inch screen of previous iPhones won't be able to compete against the bigger screens of other competitors like Samsung's Galaxy series or the recently released LG G3. Apple is planning to release two versions of the iPhone 6, a 4.7-inch variant and a bigger 5.5-inch variant. If ever Apple does plan to release a 5.5-inch version, it would be the biggest iPhone to be released.
The iPhone 6 is also rumored to have the TouchID fingerprint recognition feature as well as a Sapphire crystal display. The Sapphire display is supposed to be stronger and more scratch-resistant than the Corning Gorilla Glass present in most smartphones in the market.
There are also rumors that the iPhone would sport the latest iOS 8. The same operating system could also be found on succeeding Apple products like the iPad or the Macbooks. A chip upgrade is also likely from the iPhone 5's A7 chip to a more powerful A8 chip.
In order to meet the power demand of the bigger screens, Apple would also need to upgrade the battery's power. The latest spec rumor revolving around the iPhone 6 is a more powerful 2,100mAh battery. If this is the case, then it would be almost a 45 percent increase from the iPhone 5's 1,440mAh battery.
Apple will be announcing its new flagship phone this coming Sept. 9 during a media event.
