iPhone 8 vs Galaxy Note 8: Which is Better According to Reviews?

While it is already suspected that most Apple fans will go for the iPhone X rather than the iPhone 8, tech pundits agree that the iPhone 8 is still an impressive mobile device that now makes the price of the Galaxy Note 8 absurd.

Many agree that Apple's decision to release the iPhone 8 alongside the iPhone X has forced the former under the shadow of the latter. However, as there is a $300 price difference between the two new Apple devices, people who cannot afford or unwilling to spend $999 for the iPhone X may settle for the iPhone 8.

Overall, the iPhone 8 is still considered as a good iPhone, thanks to its wireless charging, lightning-fast performance and small but solid upgrades to its camera, screen, and speakers. With a 64 GB internal storage capacity, which is twice the capacity of its predecessor, the iPhone 7, there is no denying that it is a device deserving of a $699 purchase.

While there are those who can't help but opine that the iPhone8 and its Plus version are similar to the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of design, features, and pricing, some tech pundits believe that the iPhone 8 is still better than the Samsung's Galaxy Note 8, which was launched ahead of the latest three iPhones, in terms of performance.

Prior to the release of the three iPhones, it was suspected that the Galaxy Note 8 would find itself in a direct competition with the iPhone 8, as the iPhone X at that time was not yet confirmed. With the release of the iPhone X, though, it is said that the Galaxy Note 8 pales in comparison to the most expensive iPhone, the iPhone X despite having an almost similar price.

It can't be denied, though, that one of the major selling points of the Galaxy Note 8 is its sleek design that comes with a curved screen and glass back, a feature similar to the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X. However, it is said that the Galaxy Note 8 still cannot beat the iPhone 8 in terms of performance as the latter's A11 Bionic chip is way better than that of the latest Samsung mobile device.

For some tech pundits, the Galaxy Note 8's competition is not among the latest iPhones as its best pitted against last year's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, making its price tag of $930 nothing more than a gimmick.
