Tim Cook Still Not Mentioning iPod Touch 6th Generation Device

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently made an appearance for the first 2015 quarterly financial call this week and it created a buzz around the tech world. A lot of information including the company's market status was revealed during the event.

But one of the most anticipated updates that sadly didn't came through was about the next purported installment of the popular media player by the Cupertino-based tech giant, the iPod Touch 6.

Despite the booming demands of the recently released iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the iPod Touch line is still winning the hearts of consumers especially those who belong to the young-age bracket as well as music lovers who prefer the affordability, functionality, and simplicity of the device.

Stabley Times wrote in their report that while Apple still offers the 5th gen model of the gizmo, it isn't still clear whether or not the the company remains interested in developing the series.

The website however shared their speculation on why fans still haven't heard a word from the company about the media player.

"One notion was that since the iPod 6 will use some of the same components as the iPhone 6, Apple opted not to put the former into production until it was finally able to catch up to demand for the latter. But with iPhone wait times having finally dropped to zero this month, the iPod touch 6th generation should be in production by now. And unless Cook is hiding something, it simply isn't. So what now?" the site stated.

Fans should also consider the relevance of the iPod Touch today, the site went on to suggest. Given the fact that users could reap way more advantages in the iPhone 6 than its "close-to-a-phone" cousin, one might ask do they really need an iPod Touch?

For those who remain optimistic that an iPod Touch 6th Gen would arrive, they might expect to hear any updates in the next Interim 2015 Earnings Release this April 21.
